Ahh… pumpkin spice lattes, oven-fresh goodies and cozy blankets tucking me in as I sit outside in the crisp early mornings… I for one am ready to welcome our new October month!
October 8th begins Jia Xu:
- Jia is Yang Wood
- Xu is our loyal Dog
When the air changes its delicious temperament ~ so must we… This is a perfect time to exhale so you can inhale new scents maybe not considered before…
No matter where you are in life, your business or simply in today, this is a great moment in time to take a look around and consider if you are happy where you are, who you are with and where you are going…?
Yes, you are right, I’ve mentioned this a few times this year, and now it’s back full-force on the table. We are nearing the transition point to 2020 (sooner than you may think) so it’s time to get ready to shift gears.
October is one of 4 months referred to as Graveyard months, where things can be put into storage, especially in the earth. However, that same storage can be clashed open like a treasure chest unearthed by pirates (ooh, how Johny Depp does come to mind… swoon…) that releases what was carefully hidden inside…
Such a storage month is also a time of going deep, defining who you are inside, focusing on you, and what makes sense for your life.
The October Dog can take you places, but he can also play a rather cheeky game of fetch, usually ending up with a tail being chased in circles… Hmm, don’t know about you, but that’s not what I want to do this month.
Jia is the leading element, and is strong, firm in its convictions and doesn’t take no for an answer… Ooh yes, far more my liking, I can work with that!
Take control this month, because if you don’t, someone else will and yes, you’ll be going round in circles, likely fetching other people’s sticks… ?
Be mindful of that stubborn streak, possible my-way-or-the-highway approach; that’s not what I’m suggesting here. You’ll alienate those around you, miss important opportunities, and end up on the sidewalk being told to sit and stay…
You will need to persevere, as the elemental flow is tough and you’ll draw strength from unusual places and working hard to get ahead. Stay close to your mentor and lean on your advisors, as the Dog can follow up his bark with a bite, so best you have a loyal friend close by in business dealings to protect your own interests.
To really get ahead, you’ll need to stand still ~ yes, a contradiction in terms, I get that, but it is exactly what it is. Sometimes the best way forward is when we pause, and possibly step back.
Please don’t misunderstand me, I am not saying don’t move forward, I am advising a strategic stand still to assess so you can make the right move forward ~ big difference.
October is a month where we will see opposing forces, challenging views and definitely strong opinions. Inside that tumultuous banter will be gems you can work with, so as you go about your business, listen carefully…
Learn to be a Dog whisperer this month and you will lead the pack.
Ok, ready to highlight two fab areas this month for favourable outcomes!
- East ~ Clarity of thought will come from the East, and the East part of your home holds merit for discussions and decision-making this month.
- Northwest ~ Creativity sparks and many will be looking to create something new. Take the time to clear out what creative ideas have merit, as this is more long-term future growth orientated, not so much the here and now ok.
Time to balance this out, which areas are best to avoid then Sam?
- Southeast ~ South ~ Southwest ~ Um… sorry peeps, but the whole South areas are not so great this month… We have relationship arguments, potential loss of items, and confusion and they all have a connecting factor of legal ramifications. Yeah, yeah, you can grown out-loud if this is your home / business…
Sam Special Note: Rarely will I speak so negatively about areas, so let’s understand each home, each business will be affected differently due to its own Feng Shui chart ~ this is a generic view on things here. I do advise caution with security in the South, fires in the Southeast and tempers flaring in the Southwest. All you have to do is keep this in mind, and you will handle the month marvellously ok ~ yes, it really is that simple. Listen Up.
Alrighty, let’s move into our horoscopes and see who interacts with whom, this part always amazes even me with its accuracy!
Do you have:
Dragon ~ Clash Hmm… here we are at this darn clash thing again ~ should you panic if you have a Dragon in your chart? Depends. Nope, not a trick answer, but it does depend. A clash this month can open some new doors, unearth new options, but it can also bring about great change. Put it this way, if things have been tough recently, this clash can change that, however if things have been fab… it’s likely you are about to face some challenges / changes. No biggie, meet it head-on, and deal with it ~ best and only way really.
Rooster ~ Harm As the name suggests, yeah, you could succumb to a little harm… No need to live in fear of an accident, simply be mindful of your surroundings as things like potholes or tree roots could trip you (literally) followed by minor ailments that annoy you. Enjoy a little extra time for some well-deserved TLC this month.
Goat ~ Destruction & Punishment Not a fan when these two come together, unfortunately, for October Dog month… they do ?… Be ready to make changes to your best laid plans, as they are not going to play out as you planned. Don’t fight me on this, things will go awry, so lean into it, expect the unexpected and be ready to make necessary changes. Disregard my warnings and you’ll dig yourself into a hole in the ground, kinda like our October Dog burying a bone…
Rabbit ~ Combination Finally a month where you can make headway with those new connections you’ve been cultivating. This is a great time to build relationships, so get out there and buy someone a pumpkin latte (I like mine half sweet by the way…?)
Now let’s keep things real ~ chances are your birth chart has one or two of these animals in it, you’ve just read my notes and your stomach kinda hit bottom right… Ok, stop holding your breath in negative anticipation, how about I put this into perspective with a real live example ~ me.
I have a Dragon and a Goat in my chart…. yep, even my eyes rolled this month… I had a plan for something major recently, and it went sideways, but that doesn’t mean I have to go sideways with it!
I am where I am supposed to be, exactly when I am supposed to be here, so best I embrace it and get on with it right.
Right.
Every situation placed before us, is for a reason: no ifs, ands or buts about it. Each new month brings interconnections that assist, defeat, hinder or promote our ideas and opportunities. This monthly influence is from the Universe, which is far bigger than we are, so it has the last word whether we like it or not.
What is my greatest wish for your take-away in this newsletter…?
You always have choices how you handle the situations placed before you.
How about you take that time I spoke to, get to know yourself on the inside, dig a little deeper so you can make better decisions on the outside, for your future.
What you give out, is what you will get back ~ and it will always be that way.
Embrace life with a smile and you will forever see the silver lining inside every cloud
